Appellant Luzenski Allen Cottrell was convicted and sentenced to death by jury for the 2002 murder of Myrtle Beach police officer Joe McGarry. On appeal, Cottrell raised five issues, all of which involved rulings largely addressed to the trial judge's discretion.
